VERZEO

Bengaluru based entrepreneur V.V. Subrahmanyam founded Verzeo in 2018 with the aim of providing high-quality education to tier 2 and tier 3 cities of India. Today, Verzeo has its reach in more than 100 cities with more than 150,000 students enrolled in several courses.

Subrahmanyam found that many colleges and universities are not providing students with in-demand skills and hence, even candidates with good degrees were often unemployable because their skill sets do not match industry standards.

According to the International Labour Organization, 53% of Indian businesses were unable to hire people in 2019 due to a lack of future-ready job skills. According to the ILO, India will have a talent shortage of 29 million people by 2030.

Verzeo aims to teach students with futuristic skills to help bridge the gap between industry and academia. It is also intended to assist students in selecting the appropriate course to help them achieve their career goals.

“Most Indian educational institutes are solely interested in awarding degrees. There is no emphasis on placement. Almost all institutes are unconcerned about candidates’ future plans. Career counsellors also lead pupils astray. They sell them whichever course has the most profit margin.” says Subrahmanyam.

What does Verzeo offer

Verzeo provides technical and non-technical courses that focus on employability in order to prepare tech talent for the future. The courses are specifically designed to fulfil the needs of the industry. Courses such as:

Technical:

  • Data Science
  • Machine Learning
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Cyber Security & many more

Management:

  • Finance
  • Stock market
  • Marketing & Digital Marketing
  • Business Analytics & many more

Verzeo has a high placement rate of 92% and students get placed in prestigious companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Cisco, AMD and many others.

According to the founder,

“Freshers are the target market that requires the most assistance. It is a common misperception that only certain people are eligible to enrol in technical courses. We’re implying that anyone with a quantitative aptitude and a desire to learn can enrol in our programme. The programme is open to anyone with a knack for numbers.”

Verzeo is also planning to launch new segments under its umbrella. The new segments include LIVE sessions with industry experts for an in-depth understanding of subjects, coding classes curated keeping in mind children’s creativity and understanding level and not making it boring at all.

Along with that, it is planning to launch courses for extracurricular activities, since the lockdown, many students are missing out on extracurricular activities and hence need for such courses is through the roof.

Vision

Verzeo aims to reach every corner of the nation to provide high-quality education and skill set to all aspiring students at affordable rates.
